The client is an avid floral lover. She wanted her yard to be absolutely overflowing with flowers. In fact, she’s an incredible floral designer in the area. Typically, we don’t design a yard with this wide variety of plants; however, for this particular client, it made sense. We worked in collaboration with her in choosing specific rose and peony varieties, among other things.

The overall goal was an English garden. Note I didn’t say, cottage garden. We wanted to pull in elements other than plants that helped this space feel like an old English estate. The patio of decomposed granite blends the client’s love of English garden and Mediterranean design.
